So honestly since the Pandemic started a year ago its been nigh impossible for me to sit down and draw anything. Which sucks, as I have a full story for this comic plotted. I’m honestly figuring out what I’m going to do with this still — be it in its intended, original form or reworked somehow.
I mean, Peregrine Lake is going to be set in 2030, so… like… it will start and finish before it can become a real time thing like UnCONventional was. In some form. However I make this happen.
I’ve literally drawn like seven total pictures since the start of 2020. It’s not great.
Hey, drawing anything in the hell year of burnout and death is impressive. I hope you’re doing your best to take care of yourself and your loved ones. If eventually you wind up with time/energy/brain for a comic too I’ll be thrilled but I’m sure as hell not gonna be upset if the free entertainment is delayed by the fucking horrible everything from the last year. <3
Someone’s doing a “Pratchett-like” book series with Death as the main character. When asked how he can be an individual, and still be everywhere, he replies; “Time is relative. In fact, he’s my cousin! And he owes me ten bucks!”
Book update time! Back in January I published my first (non-graphic) novel, The Witch and the Rose (which you can buy here). I made it pretty clear that it was the first book in a series, and that more books would be coming.
And yeah, it's time to reveal that next book.
I'm excited to announce Bloody Damn Rite, the sequel to The Witch and the Rose and second book in the Mia Graves series, will come out June 11th on Kindle and paperback. Additionally, you can pre-order the Kindle eBook version of the book right now and it will be available on your devices immediately on June 11th.
So yeah! If you want some queer contemporary fantasy set in, of all places, an Indiana college town... I got two books for you.
There will be more.
(Also, just a reminder that Peregrine Lake is now live too! Go read our awesome webcomic!)
So… is there an updated release date?

Coming…..
“eventually”
Yeah, that’s probably the least satisfying answer I could give, I know.
“Soon”
Time is relative, man.

I do magic. I have not been able to do JACK with my magic since 2020! So, I hear you.

It may not be visible to folks, but stuff is very much moving forward. I just haven’t announced anything yet because we don’t have a timeline
Best of luck man. I didn’t agree with everything in UNConvential, but I loved reading it. I’m looking forward to reading this as well.

Soon in geologic terms, right?
