Peregrine Lake – A Weekly Webcomic Written by Trae Dorn and Drawn by Ethan Flanagan

So this last weekend a bunch of us gathered in a cabin in central Wisconsin to record another season of The Meatgrinder. Now, I know you’re saying “Trae, you guys haven’t released Season 6 yet, but you recorded Season 7 already?” And yeah, that’s the situation.

Season 6 will be coming out soon though, so don’t worry.

At this point though the show really is secondary to the weekend itself. We’re pretty much packed to maximum capacity in that cabin, and it’s just nice to spend time with friends I rarely get to see in person. For all the stuff in my life, I’m just glad these people are happy to spend a weekend with me every year. I spend so much of my life these days doing things remotely that it’s nice to remember “oh no, wait — these people actually like me.”

This post is a few days late, but it’s been a heck of a week. The day job is always a bit chaotic this time of year, and I’ve had to fend off the AI scrapers who briefly took this site down on Tuesday. We’re in the tail end of my favorite time of year and heading into the part where my brain is going to turn on me until the sun comes back. Moments like this last weekend are what I’ll hold onto to keep my sanity though.

That and maybe a few more pumpkin shaped iced sugar cookies.
