So I've said this before, but my intention has always been to take a break from the Mia Graves books once I finished book five. And, well, with the fifth book, The Perfect Host coming out in August (pre-order it!) that means I need to figure out what the heck [Read More]
Hey guys! I'm excited to announce that The Perfect Host, the fifth book in the Mia Graves Saga, is coming out on August 10th, 2026! Like the previous entries in the series, you can pre-order the eBook on Kindle or on Kobo. Pre-orders for the paperback can also be made [Read More]
I did a nice thing for a stranger today. I'm not going to bother saying what it was, or give any details about the interaction beyond saying that it cost me zero dollars, just a few seconds of my time, but still made a tangible difference in that person's seemingly [Read More]
With No Brand Con 2026 in the rearview, I think it's time to talk about the business of running a small, nonprofit convention. This year was genuinely really good for us, and kind of a miracle. Events like ours usually don't come back from the dead, and I want to [Read More]

I like how Bev doesn’t seem to be fazed at all by two 40-something women watching some weird psychedelic foreign-language cartoon.
Eh, Bev grew up in a world with CrunchyRoll. Heck, since it’s early 2030 in the comic, it means she was born in the mid-to-late 2000s. Even though she probably doesn’t recognize the show Lynn and Megan are watching, it probably doesn’t stand out too much.
Also, she’s been in Lynn’s office. There’s some weeb shit in there. Sadly the speech bubbles covered up her Soldier’s of the Sun poster on the 9/17/24 page that showed it. Here’s a version of the panel without the bubbles:
Hah, nice detail!
so. wait. hold up.
Lynn in the previous scene seemed… a little odd.
Lynn in the current scene doesn’t remember saying anything to Bev.
this might just be apathy/Utena obsession, but…
it does seem a little weird that there’s a hard disconnect, both in layout and time, between Lynn at the house and Lynn at home.
was… was that not Lynn in the house?
